Near the peaks of the Mountains deep in the Vampire Haven stood the opening a cave. It isn't all that impressive as far as caves go but it was very deep. Many of Adventurers have tried to get deep into the cave but swear they have been stopped by some Formidable Ghost or Great Beast of Legend. Most of them where just tales told by cowards who saw the cave and never entered. But most of the booby traps set on the cave are long since gone or previously disturbed by some adventurer or another. No one knows what lies in the cave but it use too be the home of a very powerful Mage so something powerful or interesting could be left behind in there. When you approach the cave the first thing everyone notices is that there are no sound of animals near it. The silence is Deafening and it is very understandable why someone would talk about beast and ghost when they walk into a wall of Silence.

Melanie shivered as she approached the chilly mountain's peak. She was after a rare item that a shop keeper, in the Human city of Jenar, wanted. It was called a 'Light Stone'. Now it wasn't going to be up in the mountains. She knew that much. Jinkx provided her with a map indicating all the places he had already looked for it, and the places that remained. However, the places that remained were numerous and it would take her quite a while to scout them out one at a time. Instead, she had heard of rumors that a great power came from this peak. And what causes great power? A powerful Mage.

If someone were powerful enough to frighten people off to the point where they created ghost stories about your lair, Melanie figured, they had to know where Light Stone was. Or had some magic power to teleport her from place to place faster. Magic could work like that, right? She shrugged, unsure. Regardless, the time it lost her was worth the potential gain. Besides, her curiosity wouldn't let her rest.

Melanie entered the cave and was startled to find the environment became quiet; eerily so. She snatched a dagger from her belt-line and gazed into the darkness with caution. If it was a powerful Mage that called this mountain home, did he know she was here? Was this some sort of magic he had generated? She probably shouldn't've assumed a gender, but she did, regardless. Seeing no immediate threats as her eyes slowly adjusted, she proceeded deeper into the cave. And deeper. It seemed never-ending. She began to wonder how far she had traveled. How much farther would she have to go before she encountered the source of this magic?

Ishia was just coming back from visiting his family near Arborla. Since he had been so busy with his hunting in the past few months, he decided some time in the mountains wouldn't kill anyone. So he decided to take the roundabout way to get through the mountains, a way that wasn't marked by trail or path, but still easy enough for Ishia's bobcat form. He was in the third day of his travels when he caught an unfamiliar scent. "This isn't a scent I've encountered before," Ishia thought to himself. Quickly, he followed the scent trail up to the base of a mountain. It was clearly a Vampire that was all the way up here, but why? Ishia shook his furry head. There was time to find out why when he caught up. Ishia gave a deep sigh and started climbing the mountain side's trail.

It wasn't long before Ishia climbed to the top. "Being an animal sometimes definitely has its perks." Of course, that wasn't what was important. What was important was that the scent was very fresh here. The Vampire who climbed all the way up here was nearby. Curious, Ishia moved to finish following the trail when his feral instincts made him stop dead. There was a cave, a very old and dark cave at that. And this wasn't dark as in lack of light, but of history. It wreaked of magic, and not the good kind. However, he had to go on Ishia decided. He couldn't let this Vampire get attacked when he was there to help. So he quickly padded on, finally catching all the way up to the Vampire. It looked to be a female, and since she wasn't moving, she was either scared or letting her eyes adjust. Ishia went to move up behind her, but again the instincts took over. She was dangerous, his feral side told him. It wasn't till then that he noticed the dagger in her hand. Ishia decided to keep quiet and follow her, so he quickly switched to his fox form, which would be quicker and harder to see.

Soon after, the Vampire started walking down into the cavernous abyss, and Ishia decided to follow, though at a generous pace. But it was easy to get lost in these caves. He soon followed not even a couple yards away from the Vampire, not sure if she noticed him. "I don't think she knows where she's going...." Ishia thought wearily, as he crossed the scent of the Vampire from a crossroads. They were walking in circles. But he understood why. There was a deterrence ward placed upon this cavern ages ago, it seemed. He mentally sighed, not wanting to alert the Vampire and scare her. But after a few more moments, he caught a different scent. and ancient scent. He made a split decision then and there. Quickly, he transformed into his Human form and called out to the Vampire, who was about 10 feet from him, but still in sight. "Hey, if you're looking for something, follow me. You're just going to go around in circles some more, thanks to the magicall deterrence, and I caught the scent of another being deeper this way." It was risky to be sure, but there was something urgent in this need to follow the scent

The spell almost immediately after being told what was happening snapped over Melanie . It felt like some thing very powerful had just snapped but it had also grown very week with time. Ischia felt it too like a little jolt too the system. Obviously there was something here worth peotecting or else the magic shouldn't of lasted so long.

As they walked the feeling of magic got stronger and stronger. But so did their sight. For at the end of the tunnel they could see a faint blue glow. As they approached it got stronger untell they finally came up upon a large stain glass door. It looked like it had very old ruin magic carved into it Nd the glow was defiantly comeing from behind that door. It looked like a brilliant craftsman had come in here place ing the door into the stone wall. It looked very natural like it should be there.

Melanie had this eerie feeling someone or something was watching her. It made her grasp the handle of her dagger ever tighter; ready to fling it at the first indication that someone else was around. Unfortunately, due to the magic in the this cave, the sound of the being behind her was inaudible; or at very best, dampened. She didn't appreciate things that played with her senses like this. She wasn't used to being unable to hear her own footsteps. That, itself, put her on edge.

When Melanie finally caught a sound, she let her dagger fly before hearing what the sound had even been. It had been spoken words that felt like cotton in her ears. It messed with her sense of location and the dagger flew two inches to the left of the person's head. She had missed. The dagger hit the cave wall behind them and clattered to the floor with a muted metallic clang. "You don't sneak up behind a girl with a knife," she replied; her own words sounding faint as if diminished in strength. Her hand now over her heart from having been startled. She crossed the cave and retrieved the thrown dagger; placing it in her belt.

"Around in circles. I am not!" she protested. It was possible he was right, but she wasn't about to admit it in a million years. Melanie had traveled through many caves in exploration for rare times before. She thought herself much better with sense of direction than to end up, like a lost child, wandering in circles.

She thought a moment, her mind coming back to her now after the brief scare. "How do I know I can trust you? The magic in this cave is very powerful. Created by some powerful Mage, no doubt. How am I to be sure you are not that Mage; seeking to mislead me into some trap?" she asked skeptically. She hadn't seen his animal forms which would've immediately proven he couldn't be a Mage. Or at least, if he was a Mage, then he was a Mage of illusion.

It wouldn't take much to prove he wasn't a Mage with evil intent, however. And while she didn't appreciate the near-heart-attack, it was better to travel with another person in dangerous environments like this. Even if that person were a stranger. She knew that. Besides, it was better than letting a potential threat sneak up behind her for a second time. It was smarting to keep her eyes on him instead of relying on her ears. She would follow him deeper into the cave, warily.

There was a snap Melanie felt. It was the only way she could describe it. She wasn't familiar with magic much and was put off by the feeling. After a moment of calm, however, she figured it was no threat and relaxed again. "Did you feel that?" she asked to make sure it wasn't just herself.

When they began to walk on, Melanie started to see a blue glow forming in the farthest reaches of her vision. Something about it seemed so beautiful. So powerful. Approaching it, it turned out to be a door made of stained glass and the blue glow emanated from behind it. "Well, that's not ominous at all," she mumbled before turning to her new friend. "Ladies first," she joked uneasily.

Ishia jumped when the dagger passed by him, not even 2 inches from his head. "Aim to kill then...." Ishia thought. He set a hand on his rapier and moved forward."If you couldn't trust me, you'd be dead right now." But before he could get another word out, a jolt hit him. The Vampire said something, but he didn't hear it. It was like an electric bolt had struck him. But he knew better. It was a magical snap. One that happened when a old and powerful magic ended abruptly. He looked to the Vampire and hastily said, "We need get to the source. Your Mage could very well be awakening this very moment." Ishia broke out into a brisk jog down the scent line for the unknown scent, hoping the Vampire followed. It didn't matter if she did, they needed to be at that source. Something was awakened and if that magical snap was any indicator, they probably were the only ones who were able to stop any bedlam that would be unleashed.

Eventually, they found themselves before a very ornate door that looked to be made of glass. There were runes scattered across the door and area, and the magic was definitely coming from behind this door. The vampire said something and snapped him out of his reprieve. "Ladies first." The Vampire said, and Ishia only grunted. Quickly grabbing the door handle, he felt a rush of magical energy. "If that had been at full foce, or if I wasn't so attuned to magic already, that could have been very deadly...." Ishia thought to himself. With a sigh, Ishia pulled on the door. For a glass door, it was much heavier than it looked. It took a few good tugs to loosen it up enough to swing it open, almost as if the hinges were made of stones. Eventually, he opened up the door completely and peered inside.

Inside the room it was very sparsely furnished. There was a table and a couple of chairs and a chest siting next too an odd shaped glass object. It looked like a coffin and it was made of the same glass as te door but the glass was covere in the same runes as the door just more extensive. The light was comeing from the inside of the coffin and it was almost blinding too look at.

As Ishia entered the Room the light turned red and it was flashing back and forth between red and blue. Then the light broke and flew out in all direction striking the torches on the walls and he burst into flames. Once the light was gone there was a gone they could see that someone was inside and starting too stir.

As the man with her opened the stained glass door, Melanie was dazzled by the bright light-show. She blinked a few times to regain her sight. Going from the dark cave to flashing lights messed with her eyes a bit.

Once she regained sight, she glanced behind her one last time before entering. She figured, with how the man with her was acting, he was more familiar with what was going on, what this place was for, and about magic in general, than she was. So, she figured she'd watch his back, be ready to strike at anything he drew his blade to, but let him make the first movements. There was no need to recklessly set off magical traps just because she was ignorant of their presence; when someone who wasn't as ignorant might catch them. She might be ignorant of somethings about the world still, but she was far from stupid.

The glass coffin suggested this place did hold a person though. But Melanie's next question was... 'Why?'. Was this person dead? While it was a coffin container, it wasn't quite the type you'd expect for a dead body. No, perhaps they were still alive. Maybe in some suspended animation? Melanie had heard stories of this type of thing, but could magic actually do that? She wasn't sure.   But if someone inside was placed in suspended animation, then what was the reason? Were they dangerous? Such that it was easier to freeze them than kill them? The thought made Melanie's heart drop and she now understood the man's urgency.

Melanie began eyeing every inch of the room. If this were to turn into a fight, she wanted to know what she had to work with. There weren't many things to hide behind. The coffin itself, a table, couple chairs, and a chest. She noted this as she placed her hands near her belt so she could briskly draw her daggers if necessary. However, she decided she would wait for her partner to take an aggressive stance before she acted. Diplomacy together or fight together. A conflict between the two could spell disaster otherwise. She kept a close eye on his body language, letting it tell her his next move before he would make it; aided by her ambient ability as a Vampire.

The seconds felt long as she waited for the answers. Just who was inside the coffin and why were they locked away inside?

Ishia was momentarily blinded when he stepped into the room, as several flares of magical light engulfed the room. The red and blue magics finally separated and shot at the torches along the wall. "Looks like a very extravagant way to light a torch...." Ishia thought to himself. Now that he could see clearly, he looked around the room. There was only a couple chairs and a chest still mostly intact in the room, save for the crystalline object. Upon closer inspection, Ishia discovered that it was made of the same substance as the door he had opened, and there seemed to be even more runes on here. "That could explain the light show we saw earlier." He looked around the room a little longer and found nothing else that seemed important. Ishia finally walked forward towards the crystalline object in the room. "Be careful, Vampire. We don't know what could happen here," He warned. Truth be told, Ishia didn't know much more about this place than his companion. But there was some kind of draw here, something to do with magic. He couldn't explain it, nor could he figure out what was causing the draw.

After getting halfway to the object, he stopped. He couldn't believe what he saw. It was a PERSON in that object. What's more, it looked to be a coffin made entirely of glass. But that wasn't the oddest part. It looked like the person inside was starting to draw breaths, or has been for a little. Ishia had heard stories of powerful Mages of the past being able to trap someone in time, but he never believed it, not for one second. Ishia continued towards the coffin, albeit at a slower, crouched pace. When he finally came close to the coffin, he notices the excessive amounts of runes on it. He stood and turned to the Vampire. "Here, come look at this. These runes seem to be protecting her." Ishia looked the woman in the coffin in the face and studied her. Not a Mage, no the skin was too pale. This was a Vampire. And from the looks of the clothing, a very old one. "Be careful around the runes. This is a Vampire here, and I think these runes are meant to harm anyone who is either Vampire or Mage. Or possibly any of the five races," Ishia cautioned, almost shouting to the Vampire behind him. Then, something hit him. This woman was in a coffin, and she was BREATHING. This meant she was woken up now from the spell that held her. Now extremely worried, he turned to his companion and said, "We need to get her out of there. She could suffocate!" Without waiting for a reply, Ishia touched the coffin. A second later, he was hit with a magical force, one that exploded him back a good ten feet.

The Lid of the Coffin blew open shattering against the ceiling. a rain of glass fell on everyone and luckily Ishia was thrown against the table cracking that instead of the wall. It was a bit softer but not much. The woman Sat up out of the coffin gasping her Dark ruby red eyes looking around the room quickly like a scared cat. She attempted too pull her self out of the coffin but fell out instead her long waist length silver hair falling like a waterfall behind her. Her long blue dress looked like a night dress and was strapless it also looked tattered and had strips of mud and what looked too be blood all over it. the tattoos on her wrist looked like hand cuffs and the as her hair fell off her back they could see the top of a tattoo that lead all the way down her back and what looked like the roots of a very tribal pattern.

SHE looked back up again looking at both of them and slowly backing away. She looked at them both with slight fear and very weary of them. and then finally in a soft almost hoarse soprano tone she whispered out "Who are you...Did she send you too finally Kill me...Where's my family....you promised me they would be safe...are they still?" She was breathing heavily then she finally noticed Ishia getting up front he wreckage that was the table and looked at him sideways through very confused eyes tilting her head too the side and letting her long lank hair drag across the ground.

He stepped up to the coffin. Melanie stayed back but watched nervously. He spoke to her, referring to her as 'Vampire'. He knew her race. But how? She had fed rather recently so she wasn't pale. Almost everyone she ran into believed she was human. Yet he... he knew. What Melanie didn't realize was that a person with an animal form might be able to identify her race by scent. She was a bit too distracted by her surroundings to think that far into it at the moment.

He called her closer in to look at the runes on the glass coffin. He said it was magic that protected the person inside. Melanie's eyes narrowed. If the runes protected the person inside. What would it protect them from? An outside threat. Melanie figured it best not to get too close; though curiosity made her take one step forward for a slightly better look. The glass and runes had a hypnotizing effect on her as she wasn't too familiar with magic. All the glowing. It was... beautiful; like art. She shook herself out of the trance when he spoke of the person inside possibly suffocating. As he reached toward the coffin to break the person free, Melanie opened her mouth to warn him of the possible danger this protective magic might inflict. She shrieked slightly when the explosion sent him flying into the table.

Melanie's initial reaction was to run over to make sure he was alright, but when a lady rose from the shattered coffin, Melanie held back; observing before stepping any closer. The woman seemed just as uneasy of them as they did of her. Perhaps she wasn't a threat at all, but a victim of some other possible threat. If that were the case, she must be a powerful ally. At either rate her power was inescapable as no one would go through all this trouble to seal her away without good reason.

Melanie looked over to her friend. Friend? Suddenly, when facing possible life and death danger strangers can become friends; united by the need to survive. Still, she was surprised by how quick she made that leap. "Are you alright?" she asked concerned. Still holding back because of the woman nearby. However, if he seemed injured or in any real danger, she was ready to run over to give a hand. "Watch out as you move around, broken glass is everywhere." At that, Melanie reached up and shook a few shards of glass from her hair. They clinked in contact with the floor and she sighed at what a pain it would be to get the rest of the tiny fragments out later.

The lady began to speak. It was a tone of concern, with a hint of demanding. Moreover, however, was quivering fear that shook in her words. Fear of not knowing what was going on, Melanie expected. Melanie sympathized, she would be just as frantic if she were in her position. Whatever that position entailed, exactly. "She? I don't know of any 'she'," Melanie replied slowly, making sure that was true. "I... can't speak of your family. I don't know anything about their whereabouts, I'm sorry. But I assure you I wasn't sent by anyone." Melanie paused for a beat. "Well, actually, I was sent by a shop-keeper named Jinkx regarding the whereabouts of a possible Light Stone crystal. But I feel as though... that is completely irrelevant at the moment," she explained. She waved off her previous statement and restarted. "I'm Melanie. Melanie Havnos."

Despite her friendly enough greeting, Melanie kept her distance. She learned to always watch before acting. And though this lady's body language told Melanie she didn't intend any harm, she looked incredibly pale, possibly a Vampire. If she had been in that coffin for any length of time, it was possible she really needed to feed. Melanie knew better than anyone the danger of a starving Vampire from her own starvation sessions out of self-hatred. The drive to feed can over-power the most innocent of intentions.

"I also cannot speak for the intentions of my partner. We just met two minutes ago." Melanie looked to him with a shrug as though she didn't mean to throw him under the bus. But she was simply being honest and didn't want to get wrapped up in any trouble if he had any questionable motives for entering this cave. "He does seem peaceful though. I am not concerned for my life around him; for what that's worth," Melanie shrugged again attempting to speak well of him. However, feeling she was only digging her hole deeper, she thought it best to stop there.

Ishia hit the table with such force he was left breathless. He sat there, stunned, not realizing his mistake before he did it. "You sir, are a royal dumbass. You told her that she could hurt herself on the runes, but you go ahead and touch them," Ishia mentally berating himself before picking himself back up. He hadn't heard the other Vampire's caution and accidentally nicked himself with a shard of glass. He cursed in his mind again and finally got up onto his feet. What he saw took his breath away. The woman had gotten up and was looking panicked. But that's not what drew his attention. This Vampire had dark red eyes and silver hair longer than he'd ever seen on a woman. She was also wearing a tattered night dress, which was older in design and hand mud and..... was that blood? Ishia shook his head. They were definitely dealing with a Vampire who hadn't been out in some time. But he couldn't put his finger on what reminded him about this woman.

The older Vampire started to speak, concerned and frantic about who they were and who sent them. Since he was still getting his bearings, he wasn't able to respond right away, but his partner did. She introduced herself as Melanie, so THAT was her name, and listened as she fumbled over her words to try and ease the Vampire's worries. Ishia sighed, finally picking himself up adequately enough to respond. ""My name is Ishia Oteara, a Changeling from these mountains. We weren't here to disturb you in any way, but I wanted to make sure Melanie here didn't get herself into trouble. Can you tell us your name? and the names of your family members? Maybe we could help you look for them?" Ishia was doing all he could to sound friendly and sincere so as not to frighten the Vampire any more than she was.

Mizumi slowly got to her feet swayed a moment then finally got her bearings though her legs where still shaky she walked over too a chair with strange grace the kind a fighter or a huntress would have. She said down her voice clearing up as she spoke and turning from hoarse too a very bell tone like soprano soft and fluttery. "My name is Mizumi Hisoka Tosunora. My Husband is Zeferoth Chaosu. My Childeren are Kana, Luna, Kail, and Zannaza. If you where not sent by her how are you here? She put so many spells behind us I doubt even the Human Scum she was using too detain me where even able to get out..."

She looked up at them both the fear in her eyes slowly subsiding and she looked relatively calm for a woman in her situation. then she spoke again and said "Though I am shocked those Humans where even fallowing her since she was a mage....Humans and their hatred trying to cleans the world of all the non-human bullshit. I am suprised you two can be in the same room as each other much less go too each others aid without knowing one another. That kind of kindness will most likely take thousands of years too rebuild between the races."She sighed and rested her face in her hands. She looked back up at them her eyes now on where Ishia was now bleeding and it looked like she was using all her control not too feed.

Melanie noticed the man push himself to a stand with his hand on a shard of glass. She face palmed; less over the fact that she had literally just warned him to be careful, and more that his day was progressively getting worse by the second and she felt sorry for him.

Ishia. Nice name, she thought. She realized just now that she had relaxed significantly, no longer with her hands at her daggers ready to strike. She wasn't sure when the transition happened though.

Melanie nodded in agreement when Ishia stated their willingness to help her locate her family. However, when the lady spoke next, Melanie felt finding her family might be more of an archaeological dig than she expected. Melanie's eyes connected with Ishia's. It was a look of surprise, confusion, and sadness. Everyone this woman knew was likely long since dead. Possibly... likely. Melanie lost the ability to speak after that thought.

Melanie looked back to the lady, Mizumi. The name meant nothing to Melanie as she admittedly knew little of history and had never heard the name before now. Melanie made a mental checklist as she rattled off her family's names. Melanie heard of none of them. But something of history she did know well was that long ago races didn't get along as well as they did now. Melanie wondered if Mizumi assumed Melanie was Human or if she knew she was a Vampire as well. She hoped the latter after she made reference to 'the Human Scum...'.

Melanie finally went to speak, but when she opened her mouth to do so, no words came out. She tried this once again with the same outcome. Afterward, she simply turned to Ishia to speak the thought that was heavy on both of their minds: 'She was thousands of years old!'

Ishia was relaxing up until The Vampire opened her mouth to speak. She was Mizumi Hisoka Tosunora, her husband was Zeferoth the Demon, and she was roughly 3000 years old, give or take a century. Ishia couldn't say anything at all for a good minute. He looked to Melanie and saw that she had absolutely no idea who this person was. "Who this person is, not was...." Ishia corrected himself mentally. When he recovered himself sufficiently to speak while Mizumi was talking about the "Human Scum". HE cleared his throat when she stopped and took a breath.

"Mizumi. I don't know how to say what I'm about to, so I'll say it straight. You are far from your own time. Approximately 3000 years in the future, to be accurate. You, you're husband, your friends, They're gone. Heroes of an older time that's lost to myth. According to legend, you and your family disappeared. I never thought..... my gosh......" Ishia couldn't continue. He swallowed hard against the knot in his throat tried again. "Any and all people you knew and loved are long dead, either by age or otherwise...... You too, were supposed to be dead, no offense. But it seems that the "she" you're referring to was a powerful Mage who had powers over time. She must have put you into a time stasis that was kept in place by these runes all over the holding cell. It seems like it was meant to hold, but the magic decayed. Which in turn released you."

Ishia decided to let Mizumi absorb what he was saying and turned his attention to Melanie and his injury. "Melanie, this isn't just a Vampire who's been asleep for a long time. This is one of the heroes of old. The ones who stopped the major war from killing everyone." He looked down to where he'd cut himself and asked, "Would you happen to have something I could use to clean this up? maybe cover it? As i'm sure you know, a hungry Vampire isn't someone you should show blood to."

Mizumi Froze as he spoke, her eyes wide with shock. She was shaking her head her eyes brimming with tears. "No...That's not right...Zef was...My children..." She then burst into tears resting her head in her hands. All they heard from her was the strangled heart wrenching sobs of someone who's who life had just collapsed. Her body was shaking hard and her hair hiding her face from view.

Several minutes latter she gained control of herself and she looked up at them her red eyes swollen. There was so much depression and fear in her expression it hurt almost physically too look into them. She finally spoke whispering "Are you sure...I mean I couldn't of been." She stopped a second her eyes darkening with anger and said still in a whisper cold anger on top of the depression and it slowly got rid of the fear."Well she got her revenge...and got what she wanted...She wanted me alone...well she got her wish...and if she is not alive I will find some Necromancer to raise her so I can kill her myself..."

The pure rage in her voice took them both by surprise and she looked at Ishia and said "And that Hero Bullshit is nothing at all...I am no hero just a person who did the right thing when it needed too be done." it was more of a snap then she meant and she took a deep breath and closed her eyes and they saw her almost physically shove away the pain fear and rage and calm her shoulders relaxing and she opened them again though they showed the remnants of her pain and tears they where calm. "I guess I must thank you for freeing me." She smiled at them both softly and started too get too her feet again and looked around the room and saw the chest. She slowly walked over too it and opened it and smield softly pulling out two swords that looked like time hadn't touched it and some cloths that were the same. "Well that one dark sense of humor that bitch has. She made sure my stuff was sealed safe from time just as a cruel joke I am sure." she pulled out a bundle of cloths and set them on the edge of the coffin Pulling out 2 swords that looked like they connected together. They were both Katanas and they looked worn and well used but not old. one had a white hilt the other a black hilt.

Ishia had referred to Mizumi as one of the 'heroes of old'. She had been right. Mizumi was a powerful ally. But an ally against what? Against who? That's what Melanie began to dread.

After Ishia stated who the lady before them was, he remembered his cut and asked Melanie if she had a way to clean and bandage the wound. Melanie had fed only hours ago at the base of the mountain, yet she had to admit, upon seeing the blood, she gazed too; longingly. Only for a second. She snapped herself out of it. "Yeah, I have some alcohol to disinfect it and bandages for you," Melanie replied swinging her medium sack from her shoulders. She carried it everywhere with her. She tried to be prepared for everything while traveling lightly. To be honest, the alcohol wasn't for disinfecting though, but for drinking, but she figured it would do the job, just the same.

Melanie walked over to him as she pulled out the items. Her footsteps crinkled on the small shards of glass. It was a bit difficult to walk on the slightly uneven terrain. She certainly wouldn't want to fight on broken glass, she noted.

As Melanie handed over the alcohol and bandage she noticed Mizumi's breakdown. Melanie felt sorry for her; to the point that, half way through, she averted her eyes because she couldn't look at her.

But then it hit Melanie, hard. It was only an idea now, as there was no real evidence. But now there were two very powerful Mages. Mizumi's enemy and the Mage Zeth had been trying to track down for ages. Could they be one in the same? Melanie wondered. If so, she had to tell Zeth about this as soon as possible. Melanie glanced between the two before her though. Should she bring this up to them? They probably don't know Zeth from a hole in the wall. There's no need to bring up his name. No. Besides, Melanie was likely wrong about this assumption anyway...

Mizumi was modest. She claimed not to be a hero. But if what Ishia said was true, she had every right to be referred to as one.

"Well, to be fair, Ishia did ninety percent of the work in releasing you. I just... watched his back so he didn't get snuck up on from behind. And so he didn't wander into danger. I think I was quite useful in that respect," she mentioned sarcastically with a laugh as her presence didn't help at all when Ishia had been blast into the table by the explosion. "At any rate, I don't know if you recall this cave's layout. It is quite deep with many branching paths. If you need, or simply want the company, we can lead you out to fresh air whenever you feel ready. There's no rush," Melanie offered.

"That's a beautiful piece of weaponry," Melanie admired as the swords were pulled from the chest. "Do they have a name?"

Ishia took the alcohol and bandages from Melanie and thanked her. They would have to do, but the alcohol wasn't meant for cleaning, and his senses in animal form would be appalled by the smell of it. So Ishia wrapped up the bandage, thinking to himself, "I'll just clean it when i'm alone. I prefer natural healing anyways." After he wrapped the cut and made sure there wasn't any part uncovered, he looked at Mizumi and listened to what she said. The anger in her words took Ishia aback, but he figured he would be pissed off too, if such a thing were to happen to him.

Mizumi thanked them and told them that she thought it was all bull crap about the hero stuff, and Melanie was trying to be humble. Well, trying to sound humble. "She was next to useless in helping out. all that she's done is lead me down here and give me a bandage for the cut," he thought to himself with a sarcastic smile, "Now, what to do about Mizumi...." She would probably be lost in the caves for a good while, plus she needed to feed and whether or not they wanted the responsibility, Ishia thought both he and Melanie were in charge of keeping Mizumi under control. He was so intent on his thoughts that he barely registered the equipment Mizumi pulled out of the chest, which turned out to be time locked as well. Ishia could feel the magic release from the chest, not as strong or potent as the one on the coffin, but still there, at least to him. "Mizumi, whether you want to accept it or not, that's how they see you in this age. I don't know what you're like, but from what we've seen, there's at least two things you have to do. First, you need to let go of the hatred for Humans. There's peace now, and we don't need a "hero" becoming one of the factors which lead to another war. The other thing, which is just a suggestion, is maybe find a cover name or only use Mizumi, because people won't believe you if you told them who you really are." He hadn't meant to sound rude, but it was true. Anyone who knew the legends know the names of the heroes, and f Mizumi used her full name, she would either be laughed at and told to grow up, or have some very powerful people trying to come for her and lock her away for study.

"Besoin and Désir. Need and Desire. The two faces of the old twin goddesses Jour and Nuit. Jour raises the sun and gives us what we need too live. Whilst Nuit raises the moon and gives us all our hearts Desire." She smiled looking back over her shoulder at Melanie a half smile on her face as she spoke about her goddesses. "You most likely know nothing of them...they where a dyeing religion when I was new. My Mother and Father believed in the greatly. Our village was most likely the last to ever worship them. SO when their priests asked for me to be their mouth piece and oracal....they would never refuse." she corked another smile and put them too the side and turned her back again to them and started to get changed into the brown shirt not giving a rats ass about modesty.  she shimmied the dress down too her hips and they got a good look at her back tattoo.

The tattoo was a revers tree. at her neck started the deepest roots of the tree and it fallowed down her spin growing branches and flowers from those branches and it only looked half finished. she pulled on the brown shirt and then slipped the skirt under the dress and throwing the dress into a corner she finished getting dressed her split skirt showing a lot of leg as she pulled up the black stockings. but it was not like she was being sexual just very uncaring of the fact that that amount of skin was unappropriated. When Ishia started too talk she couldn't help but smile but by the end of it she was laughing as she pulled her other stocking into place and started too put on her shoes.

Her laugh was more of a bark and there was a lot of humor in it and she said "Hatred? For Humans. You miss understood my meaning when I said Human Scum youngling....What I meant by that is they are the Scum of the Human race. The Rapists, The Child Molesters,The Bigots, The Killers and The Thieves. " She looked him dead in the eyes and said "Each of our races have this scum in our mists. That is what I mean by the Human scum who fallowed that Witch. They came after my family and I while we slept. They grabbed my Children and held them hostage against my Husband and I so they could take me." She then corked another one of those lopsided smiles and said "As for using my real name I had already figured that one out. Why would I say who I am when I will just seem like a loony or if that witch is still alive let her know where I am. I may be an emotional wreak right now but I am not dense. " She then sighed and said "I am being much too brisk with you I hope this is not leaning twords you disliking me...I am hungry that is all...as long as I can get some animal blood in my at least I can make it too someplace I can get blood without hurting anyone." She smiled and started too walk out of the room. Swinging her swords around her waist and belting them on. She carried herself like the warrior she was. There was no mistaking that this woman had seen War.

The assumption that Melanie knew nothing of Mizumi's religion was accurate. Although the fact that her religion was dying out even back in her time was sort of irrelevant due to the fact that Melanie really didn't keep up with religions in general. They all seemed distant. Irrelevant. As if nothing seemed to directly effect her so why should she bother learning up on any of it. Though perhaps if she learned of the religions and gods, she might realize they played more of a roll than she thought.

Melanie respected Mizumi's faith and smiled back awkwardly when she was smiled at. Her ignorance evident.

After Mizumi explained how she has no hatred for the entire Human race, just the lowest forms of beings of all races, Melanie was a bit relieved. At this point she took back the alcohol and whatever bandages remained, if any, after Ishia had mended himself.

"I think we should go find her something to feed on... before it becomes one of us," Melanie suggested. She was sure Ishia was thinking the same thing. "After all, I could go for a bite, myself..." She smirked at her lame pun. "Of actual food. No worries, Ishia. I fed earlier today. You don't have to worry about two Vampires nibbling on your neck." For some reason, she thought she was being funny as she chuckled.  "As you seem to have a better... sense of direction. Lead the way, good sir."

Ishia was shocked with Mizumi's easiness to expose herself and averted his eyes a little. Sure, he would have been interested, but not when the person in question was a hungry Vampire who could possibly count him as dinner. He listened to Mizumi describe the ancient religion and was clueless. He never cared much for religion at all, preferring a way of life rather than a belief. However, he was certain Mizumi didn't care whether they believed or not.

Ishia was also both taken aback and relieved when Mizumi laughed at him and explained what she really meant. "Well, at least she can laugh," he thought to himself, cracking a smile of his own. He listened and nodded as Mizumi decided she needed to feed on something other than them, which was a relief, and smiled wider when Melanie made her little joke. He was still smiling when she told him he should lead them out. He took off the bandage on his hand and looked at Melanie. "Just don't get lost again," Ishia said with a smile and a wink. Without waiting for a response, he shifted into his fox form and trotted ahead of Mizumi, motioning for the both of them to follow using his head.

It didn't take long for them to get back out, thanks to the lack of magic protecting the cavern now that Mizumi was free. And since it hadn't been that long since they came through here, Ishia used the old scent trails he and Melanie left to guide them out quickly. Once outside, Ishia stretched his body and found a nice place to sit down and licked at his paw where he cut himself in his human form.

Once out side Mizumi froze again this time starring at the tree Ishia was under and she blinked slowly frowning a little. "Well I guess that proves it." she looked down then closed her eyes and leaned her head back and breathed in a deep breath of air. She could feel their questioning gazes on her and she said softly "When I was in there that tree was just a baby sappling." She pointed at the tree Ishia was under. It was large. Very Large. I twas the Circumference of 3 men's arms in a circle and it was so tall they had too lean their necks back and they could still only barely see the top.

Mizumi sat down looking like she was doing the same control exercise that she showed back in the caves. It was really impressive to watch someone take all that emotion and shove it away. But what she said next was not in the same vain as the calm she was emitting. "I need too feed...I do not dare trust myself too hunt...If I find a bystander passing by no matter what Race...I think i might rip their throat out." She stayed in that kneeling position her eyes closed her jaw locked but the rest of her poster calm and relaxed.

Melanie took to leaning her back against a nearby tree; arms crossed. There was a chill in the air. Afterall, it was the mountains. Yet, somehow, Melanie felt comfortable. She was chilly on her climb, but being so glad to know all her senses were no longer being altered by any magic, she was relaxed. Her senses were her strongest weapon closely followed by her reflexes. Without her senses at their peek, she was weakened tremendously. That was shown simply by how she missed hitting Ishia in the head with her dagger earlier when he startled her.

The air was fresh and calm. Yet the new Vampire still needing to feed left an eerie chill in the air that Melanie knew all too well. She thought a moment before turning to Ishia. "She hasn't fed in... however long you said that was." Melanie wasn't the best at remembering hard numbers unless it was money. "A simple animal, even a large one, may not be enough blood. And I fear the taste of blood might send her into a feeding frenzy. And if there isn't enough supply of blood to satiate that burst of desire..." Melanie paused, glanced to Mizumi, obviously not intending this to sound mean, then glanced back to Ishia and spoke from experience. "She may not be able to hold back, and we might be the remainder of her meal. And, I'm not sure if you're aware. But while a Vampire may initially be weakened by lack of blood. One that goes too long without it such that they might strike the first thing they see, may experience unimaginable strength due to their desperation to survive. Even the two of us might be no match," Melanie explained.

Melanie had an idea. She wasn't thrilled about it though, so she hesitated. "I keep jars of blood in reserve in my home in Zalsabad. They are sealed tight with a small dose of harmless edible blood-thinner to preserve the blood in liquid form for weeks... possibly months. I've used them countless times and have at least twelve backed up right now. That should be more than enough blood to satiate her thirst. It's just a matter of getting her there before she loses control." It was a suggestion. If they turned it down, Melanie wouldn't entirely mind. She didn't like the idea of strangers being in her home. One being a dangerous Vampire. And the fact that she was sacrificing quite a number of her personal reserve jars of blood. It was better than becoming a victim herself or watching as someone else did. She didn't want that on her conscious.

She turned to Mizumi. "It'd be a few hours. I didn't really pay much attention walking here, but somewhere around two or three or so. Do you think you can hold on that long?" she asked with caring and concern. There was a softness to her voice that hadn't been heard in years.

Ishia paused his cleaning to listen to Mizumi's hesitance about feeding. She was right, there was the possibility that she couldn't control herself. Ishia cocked his head to one side when Melanie explained that they could be the food if Mizumi went berserk. He honestly hadn't thought of that possibility, and shuddered at the thought. He didn't want to know what it felt like to have a Vampire drain his blood. "Just as well, then." Ishia thought to himself. He tried to continue to heal his wound when Melanie spoke again. She told them of a method she used, storing blood in jars and preserving it. He thought it was slightly crude, but if she said it was effective, he believed her. Melanie continued by saying they could try to make their way to her house in an effort to use those jars to curb Mizumi's appetite.

Ishia opened his mouth to speak, but it only came out as a yowl. "Idiot!" Ishia thought to himself. He quickly transformed and tried again. "Sorry, forgot I couldn't speak to you while i'm in an animal form." Ishia said sheepishly. He looked over to Melanie and directed his word to her.  "It's possible we could do that, however if memory serves, many of the roads nowadays are littered with travelers. We would have to either use the wild lands and eat up time, or risk going over the roads and having Mizumi go berserk. OR the third option is we take her deeper into the mountains and leave her to feed on anything that she finds while we are far away and then come back in a few days." The last part wasn't exactly serious, and Ishia said it in a joking tone and chuckled. IT was an interesting thought, but possibly the worst decision that could be made.

Mizumi got too her feet and said " Lead me deeper...I don't want too be around more people then the two of you. My thirst is strong but not crazy and even though I am blood deprived being as old as I am I do not require an insan amount too quench it but more the I usually do." she paused looking over her shoulder at the cave. " It should only take me a day or two too feel comfortable around people so i should be fine."

Mizumi reached back and pulled her long hair out of her face and started too braide it. She the. Twisted that braide up into a bun and tucked in the ends too keep,it all in place and said " Thank you for your generous offer Mel but I do not think it wise for me too be near a city. Both emotionally and physically. It will be very hard too keep control." She smiled softly at the girl and said "please lead the way Ishia.
